I am absolutely thrilled to be writing to you for the first time as the Director of the Greenwich Wildlife Network, registered charity number 1197507. That's right - our application for charity status was accepted this morning!
After experiencing our busiest ever nesting season in 2021, and the frankly soul crushing events in my personal life of late, some good news is very very welcome, and feels like an affirmation of how hard we've all been working over the past few years. Hopefully it will open many doors for the organisation in terms of funding and other opportunities.
I am so very grateful to the team of people who have poured their heart and soul into the work of the GWN and to making this happen, and to the wider community who have supported us in every way possible since our humble beginnings as a mere Facebook group. Thank you.
Our next goal; premises for the charity.
