While I've been away, volunteers Darren and Fran have been working hard constructing our soft release aviaries which arrived at long last, after a few delays in their delivery. There's still work to be done before they are ready for their new occupants, and we will likely not have too many birds to fill them until next nesting season, but nonetheless it's a huge milestone and very exciting!

A massive thank you to Darren and Fran for their many hours of work today, to the lovely family who have offered the use of their land for this purpose, and to all of you wonderful people who donated for the aviaries purchase and who have supported us as we've grown as an organisation.

Going forward we may need to raise some more funds for corrugated plastic to create a sheltered area of the aviary.
